In 2017, CSHRM will be launching an exciting initiative we call the HR Tech Special Interest Group, or HR Tech SIG. The team leading the initiative includes Michelle Salis, Kevin DeLury, Mike Medoro, and myself. We’ve tasked ourselves with a mission “to provide a forum to the local HR community on the latest HR technology including best practices, trends and systems.”
As the year comes to a close, we are sharing 10 of our most popular blogs throughout the year. The following blogs review key information we’ve been discussing over the last year. It goes without saying that 2016 has been unlike any other year. We’ve seen a rise in focusing on policies that engage employees in unique ways, significant policies changes, and massive political upheavals.
In First Year of Eligibility, Willory Recognized as One of the Fastest Growing Northeast Ohio Companies
Just before Thanksgiving, US District Court Judge Mazzant (Eastern District of Texas) issued a temporary injunction barring the FLSA Final Overtime Rule from going into effect on December 1. The Rule, once in effect, would have increased the minimum annual salary from $23,660 to $47,416. The “white collar duties” test, previously in effect, will remain active.

Crain’s Magazine announced today that Willory has been included in its list of the fastest growing companies in Northeast Ohio. Crain’s 52 Fastest-Growing Companies not only rewards revenue growth, but recognizes “entrepreneurial spirit and innovative business tactics.”
The top ten fastest-growing companies will be announced at the November 4 Awards Reception. Willory has experienced consistent and substantial growth since Willory’s first full year of operation in 2011.
