Don’t Miss the Disruption

disrupt hrEvery couple months, or so it seems, Willory has had the chance to participate in DisruptHR Cleveland. It has quickly become one of our favorite HR events to sponsor, present, and attend. Just about everyone from our team will be in attendance on Thursday, August 6. If you see someone from Team Willory, come and talk to us. We want to get to know you, your career, and your dreams. Also, make sure you listen closely to John’s sponsor speech – that’s right, we’re once again sponsoring the event – because there just may be an added incentive to talk to a Willory team member.

DisruptHR is an information exchange designed to empower challenge ideas in and around Human Resources. Attendees are encouraged to think differently about talent in our communities and the companies we work in. Each event is designed as “quick hits” of 5 minutes each, with the speakers presenting on automatic slides, so it’s fast paced and engaging, and a lot to think about.

DisruptHR has been an incredibly impactful event for us. At the first DisruptHR Cleveland, Katherine Gregorski spoke about “Disruption and the Midwest Business Dilemma,” you can check out the video at https://willory.com/tv/. We saw this as a way to introduce Katherine as Willory’s Director, Consulting Services and launch our dedicated consulting offerings. Then at the second disruption, John met Christine Peters, now the latest addition to our team. Christine works alongside Katherine, supporting her with project management, research, and solutions.

It was also at the February DisruptHR Cleveland that John spoke about leading by example. Read all about the experience from his point of view at  Speaking at DisrupHR: Feels Like the First Time. He would probably love us all to forget how he threw a Willory football right into peoples’ drinks, but how can we? And really this was the inspiration for the incentive to talk to a Willory team member mentioned above. (Can I give any more hints?)

For the third event, the organizing committee of Lauren Rudman, from ERICO and past President of Cleveland SHRM, Michelle Salis, of Ultimate Software, and Tammy Colson from TalentCrib Consulting have brought together 12 speakers. Ten are local professionals in HR and Marketing and two are out of town guests. If you want to learn more about the speakers and their topics head on over to https://www.facebook.com/disrupthrcle?fref=ts.

There are a handful of spots left, so you better act fast if you want to attend: http://www.clevelandshrm.com/events/event_details.asp?id=655510/ (UPDATE: DisruptHR Cle is SOLD OUT).  Can’t make it? We’ll be live tweeting from @Willory1 using the #DisruptHRCle tag.

For a list of available Twitter handles from the speakers visit https://twitter.com/willory1/lists/disrupthr-speakers/members.

See you Thursday!
