Position Summary

This position will act as a the primary point of contact for all incoming benefits questions, issues, and requests.

Responsibilities

  • Administrating insurance functions, working with management and vendors to optimize plans
  • Refer complex cases to appropriate department leaders
  • Ability to draft and edit annual benefit communication materials and presentations
  • Preparation of 5500 and other necessary benefits reports as well as 403 (b) tax plan
  • Coordination of new benefit program implementations and experience with benefit integrations (merging existing populations into the flagship plans)
  • Other duties as assigned

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree , preferred
  • 5 years of benefits administration experience
  • Experience with a defined retirement plan in a non profit or governmental/state role
  • In depth knowledge of COBRA requirements, 5500 reports, and 403 (b) tax plans
  • Proficient use of HR systems and call center technology tools
