Position Summary

The primary objective of this role is to support and provide leadership for the corporate payroll function, including payroll processing and preparation. 


  • Provide functional leadership to payroll team for activities
  • Ensure compliance with payroll regulations
  • Manage system implementation
  • Provide leadership and decision making support to team on payroll issues and resolutions
  • Participate in organization and strategy planning
  • Develop and deliver training for current and new employees
  • Pay employees by directing the production and issuance of paychecks or electronic transfers to bank accounts
  • Provide payroll information by answering questions and requests
  • Coordinate delivery of multi-state bi-weekly payroll data for U.S. employees, both hourly and salary, to the outsource payroll provider
  • Serve as primary contact for internal departments for special/exception requests for payroll activities, determining best course of action
  • This role supervises four employees


  • 7+ years of experience, with in-house payroll processing, 3+ years of supervisory experience
  • Degree in relevant field
  • Ultimate Software experience
  • CPP or FPC certification preferred
