Position Summary

This position will be responsible for monitoring and facilitating the implementation of regulatory payroll tax changes at all levels. 

Responsibilities

  • Complete payroll tax reconciliation for semi-monthly and monthly payrolls
  • Complete Quarterly and Annual tax reconciliations before tax filing deadlines
  • Complete W-2 reconciliation, review, and approval
  • Maintain W2 mapping within Workday
  • Develop and strengthen relationships with internal business functions, to ensure proper communication and execution of compliance initiatives, recommend changes to Senior Leaders, and mitigate risk to the organization
  • Initiate, strengthen, and oversee relationship with third-party tax vendor to ensure effective and efficient data collection, transmission, and tax filings
  • Establish and update procedure documentation for all payroll tax and year-end processes
  • Continuously evaluate and suggest/implement improvements to payroll tax processes
  • Initiate, develop, and strengthen relationships with external partners, such as regulatory agencies, to remain aware of the evolving legal landscape related to payroll
  • Researching laws and regulations regarding employment taxes
  • Lead and assist in other special payroll projects, as requested
  • Other duties as assigned

Requirements

  • 3-5 years of related payroll tax experience
  • Bachelor’s degree required (Accounting or Business)
  • CPP, preferred
  • Multi-jurisdiction, local tax experience required
  • PA Act 32 experience required
