Katie Spahnie is a Human Resources professional with over 15 years of progressive experience working in all areas of talent management, including talent engagement strategy, total rewards, performance management, employee wellness and safety, employee training, and leadership development. Overseeing all aspects of people operations, she establishes and develops Human Resource teams and infrastructure to effectively support business growth. As an HR professional, her passions lie in employee empowerment, building strong connection and relationships, and helping companies achieve their goals through effective workforce management. Katie’s industry expertise includes construction, manufacturing, and pharmaceuticals. Katie has held senior HR roles at ALL Family of Companies, Midwest Industrial Supply, Inc. and America’s Pharmacy Source, LLC. In her current role as the Director of Human Resources at America’s Pharmacy Source, she is responsible for building and managing the Human Resources function, focusing on talent attraction and retention, employee engagement programs, total rewards strategies, risk management, and employee relations. Katie holds a Master of Business Administration degree from Russian Academy of Public Administration under the President of the Russian Federation. Fun fact: Katie’s thesis was focused on regulatory oversight of world’s stock exchanges – that and working for a wealth management company early in her career is the closest she’s ever gotten to being an investment expert. Katie has achieved the designations of Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR) and Senior Certified Professional (SHRM-SCP.) Katie is an active member of HR & Leadership Advisory Board at the University of Akron and serves on the Board of Directors of Goodwill Industries of Greater Cleveland and East Central Ohio. Katie and her husband Brian reside in Brunswick, OH and are parents to three adult children – Morgan (25), Brian (23), and Victoria (21), and three pups – Zeus, Zoey, and Krissy. In her free time, Katie can be found spending time with family and friends, reading, running, or attempting to train the dogs.
