How did you find Willory?
I began networking with Willory at the CSHRM meetings about a year before being contacted for a job opportunity.
What have been some of your favorite takeaways from working at willory thus far?
One of my favorite things about working at Willory is the importance and ability to become more emotionally intelligent. This has helped me with how to have effective conversations that lead to solutions and progress with both personal and professional associates.
How has Willory helped you in your career development?
They have helped me by having open and transparent conversations with me and allowing me to do the same. Knowing that I am heard and respected motivates me to want to do the same. This allows me to be open with the areas I need help in and can receive the attention needed for those specific areas.
In your opinion, what SEPARATES Willory from other recruiting/consulting firms?
The amount in which I personally feel that John cares about each of us is one of a kind. Although I have heard that from executive leadership in the past, I feel that his care for each employee as well as the firm is consistently proven. It’s more than just words.
What are the three most significant lessons that you’ve learned in your career thus far?
- There is a time, place, and manner to properly communicate barriers or concerns.
- Take the initiative to learn a new task and do not be afraid of failure!
- You can only control what you can control, and if you mess up show empathy and let it go.
Do you have a favorite event/conference that Willory has been a part of? If so what stood out to you?
Ohio SHRM- I loved the comradery of the team that also seemed to get the attention of many attendees, in that by the end of the conference the firm had a lot of new friends!
