“One thing I don’t think I would have ever studied if it weren’t for Willory, emotional intelligence. This is something that I will continue to work on years and years from now but I am proud of how far I’ve come since I started working at the ripe age of 22!“
Welcome to the second installment new series about what makes Willory truly unique: our team. Without the people on the Willory team we would not be recognized as one of the top workplaces in Northeast Ohio and have grown so significantly in the last (almost) eight years.
You may notice the name seems a bit different, but the picture the same. That’s right, our very own Director Staffing Jamie married her love, Jared, and was gifted a new last name: Myers. You can still reach her at jamie@willory.com. Help us wish them both congratulations!
Get to know Willory’s Director of Staffing Jamie (Rugh) Myers through her own words. If Jamie’s words resonate with you and you want to join #TeamWillory, check out our Why Willory? page (she even has an opening on her team of staffing experts).
I was referred to John Bernatovicz in the summer of 2011. At the time, I was employed by John’s college roommate as a Golf Pro Shop Manager in my hometown of Springfield, OH. John was looking for fresh talent for his new Staffing company. I spoke to John, met with him and his colleague, Bob Haas, and the rest is HISTORY!
Willory’s depth within human resources and payroll sets us apart from all other recruiting firms. We have experienced internal HR consultants as well as a wide bench of HR and payroll professionals. Specializing allows us to focus all of our efforts on growing, qualifying and helping out network of clients and candidates.
I really enjoy DisruptHR. We’ve had 3 Willory Members take part in the “disruption” over the years and I think it goes to show how progressive we are in our planning, branding and making ourselves better.
[Author’s note: DisruptHR Cle takes the stage once again on August 9. Get your tickets here.]
I have spent most of my time with Willory as an individual contributor but over the last couple of years I was moved up into a management capacity. Now I have a team of three (with opening as we speak) under me! I am learning more and more everyday as a newer manager and Willory has given me this opportunity to do so.
My proudest educational accomplishment would be studying for, taking and passing my PHR (Professional in Human Resources) certification and my SHRM-CP certification. As far as my proudest career accomplishment, it would have to be promoting into a Director role within the company 2 years ago.
I graduated with a degree in Marketing from Ohio State’s Fisher College of Business. Personal branding and organizational branding is something I use every day. Whether it’s working on my own brand through LinkedIn or speaking to a candidate about the selling points of a potential future employer, I use BRANDING! A big thanks to my Marketing 101 professor for making such an influence in my life.
Work life balance and our culture is one of the main reasons I love my job and working at Willory. I get to wear yoga pants and tank tops to work every day. It doesn’t get much cooler than that! Outside of Willory, I own my own virtual and global skincare business and spend my time building my personal brand and team’s brand on social media.
