Welcome to our series about what makes Willory truly unique: our team. Without the people on the Willory team we would not be recognized as one of the top workplaces in Northeast Ohio and have grown so significantly in the last eight years.
Get to know Willory’s Office Associate, Karen Pupo, through her own words. If Karen’s words resonate with you and you want to join #TeamWillory, check out our Why Willory? page.
John and I initially met through our careers at ADP. When John formed Willory, we crossed paths periodically at a few events. After my departure from ADP, a mutual friend had reached out regarding an opportunity with Willory. John and I had a couple of conversations, and I also had the opportunity to meet with a few members of his staff; shortly after I was fortunate enough to be offered an amazing role on the team.
We’re the nation’s only staffing, and consulting firm solely focused on HR and Payroll. Our team not only looks at the experience/talent of a candidate when hiring staff at the firm but also ensures that they align with our core values and culture, which brings the finest professionals.
I’m in a supporting role of our team as our Administrator of SharePoint and Office 365, along with the responsibility of event registrations, meeting coordination, and many other office tasks. Over the past year and a half, I’ve had the opportunity to take on more responsibility with system work. Willory is very supportive of my development and provides the time, ongoing training, as well as other tools and resources to be successful. I love the variety of responsibilities in my role and being able to grow.
DisruptHR, located at the House of Blues in Cleveland, is one of my favorite events that Willory sponsors. The event features numerous speakers who do brief presentations on HR-related topics in a fun and creative way. The venue provides a relaxed environment to meet others and network.
Working remotely is a wonderful benefit that allows great flexibility. The time not spent commuting allows for more productivity and fewer distractions in a typical office.
Outside of Willory, my husband and I enjoy traveling with friends and spend most of our Spring and Summer at Progressive Field, cheering on our Cleveland Indians.
