“In the short time I have been with Willory, I have already learned a great deal. It is an atmosphere of evolution. The environment is set up to constantly allow personal and professional growth. Weaknesses aren’t look at in a negative way, instead they are looked at as an opportunity to grow and develop.”
Welcome to this weeks article about what makes Willory truly unique: our team. Without the people on the Willory team we would not be recognized as one of the top workplaces in Northeast Ohio and have grown so significantly in the last (almost) eight years.
Get to know Willory’s Staffing Manager Cris Hornick through her own words. If Cris’s words resonate with you and you want to join #TeamWillory, check out our Why Willory? page.
I found Willory on LinkedIn when I was running a job search at my old job. I applied for one of the positions posted for a client. Once I spoke with Darby Friend, Staffing Associate at Willory, I hung up wishing there was an opening to work internally with Willory. A couple months later I received an email letting me know there was an internal opening for a staffing manager.
In the short time I have been with Willory, I have already learned a great deal. It is an atmosphere of evolution. The environment is set up to constantly allow personal and professional growth. Weaknesses aren’t look at in a negative way, instead they are looked at as an opportunity to grow and develop. Willory lifts its employees up and because of that it is a strong company at the base and that is how it is able to provide the best possible services to clients.
The fact that we focus mainly on HR and payroll positions, as well as the consulting services sets us apart from a lot of other firms. There is also the culture of the company. All employees of the company are open to improvement of themselves and the company. Everyone is committed to always going the extra mile to provide the best service.
Hard work pays off! I worked full time at the university while I took a more than full time load of classes. It was tough, but I stuck with it and I graduated in under 4 years with my BA debt free. I was young and it was a great lesson to learn: if you work hard enough you will reach any goal you set for yourself.
I am a single mother of seven children. I wanted a career, but also be at home with my kids. Working from home has allowed me to literally have it all. I get to do both of the things that I love.
All my previous roles had some form of recruiting. As time went on I began to realize I enjoyed the process and I had a skill of finding the right people. I love the process of working with the candidates and helping them along their career path. My drive comes from the love I have for the job and the people I get to work with.
Willory allows me to have a wonderful work life balance. I get to have a career that I love and I also get to spend time with my children. The flexibility of working from home allows me to be able to volunteer at my kids’ schools or go on a field trip without sacrificing my work. I spend most of my free time with my kids. We love outside activities such as hiking, swimming, and basketball.
